We specialize in the following designs/projects:
Standard system design
Standard septic systems are the most common type.  They consist of septic tanks followed by trenches, mounds, or pressure beds.  Since we also install and maintain systems, we know the issues that affect a quality design. We design systems to last.
Mound alternatives
On some sites a mound system can be avoided by using a Type IV system.  Some technologies are approved for reduced separation (distance to the water table) and can therefore reduce the height of a mound.
Reduced sized drainfields

Setbacks to property lines, buildings, and wells may prohibit use of a

standard drainfield.  Some jurisdictions allow a reduced sized system in

order to avoid holding tanks.  We have built drainfields as small as

10’ x 16’ to fit on restricted sites. Above ground systems can be built

inside a wall to save space and blend into your landscaping.

Reduced size drainfields give you options for:

  • Restricted sites

  • Holding tanks

  • Saving trees

  • Preserving the character of your site

Type IV ( formerly performance) systems with advanced treatment
Advanced treatment systems treat wastewater to a very high level.  Certain technologies remove over 95% of contaminants in wastewater.  They can be utilized for small lots, tight sites, environmentally sensitive areas, or simply to extend the life of your system.   We have experience with many types and brands, and match the technology to the customer’s needs and site conditions.
Failing system updates or replacements
Not all failing systems need to be replaced.  Some components of your system may be able to be reused.  Adding advanced treatment may be able to bring a system into compliance, eliminating the need for a replacement drainfield. Updating your current system may be an option if you are adding on or remodeling. Repair and recovery.
Permitting process
We have established respectful working relationships with regulators throughout Minnesota. We carry your design through the permitting process, including variance applications and public hearings.
